"Change is hard at first, messy in the middle, and gorgeous at the end." — Robin Sharma
Dear Reader,
Let’s talk about what we’re really doing in our businesses. Because if you think you’re selling coaching, courses, or healing sessions, I hate to break it to you… but you’re wrong.
You’re not selling information.
You’re not selling a service.
You’re selling transformation.
Think about it—if you’re a dog trainer, your clients aren’t actually buying “obedience lessons.” They’re buying peace of mind that their dog will come back when called, instead of turning into a speck on the horizon while they stand there screaming, “Buster, NO! BISCUITS!!!”
If you’re a fitness coach, people aren’t handing over their credit cards because they want “a structured workout plan.” Nope. They want to zip up their jeans without performing an interpretive dance.
If you’re a business coach, your clients aren’t buying “sales strategies.” They’re buying the ability to stop having awkward, sweaty-palmed sales calls that end with the dreaded “I need to think about it” response.
We’re all in the business of transformation.
You, my dear entrepreneur, are also transforming.
Running a business is like signing up for the most intense personal development journey of your life—except no one warns you upfront.
Suddenly, you have to:
Sell yourself (which feels about as natural as singing karaoke stone-cold sober).
Handle rejection (every “no” feels like someone just insulted your entire existence).
Stay consistent (but you also want to take a three-week nap and hope money magically appears).
And when it gets hard? When someone unsubscribes, ignores your post, or—gasp—says your prices are “too high”? That’s when the real transformation begins.
See, discomfort isn’t a sign you’re failing.
Discomfort is proof that you’re changing.
If everything in your business feels easy, smooth, and cozy, then chances are… you’re not actually doing anything different.
You’re still hesitating on that price increase.
You’re still waiting for the “perfect time” to launch.
You’re still posting kind of consistently but secretly hoping clients just appear.
And let me be blunt: if you want to be successful, you can’t wait for it to feel good.
You have to be willing to be uncomfortable.
That first cringe-y sales post? You have to write it.
That discovery call where you actually ask for the sale? You have to do it.
That email where you remind people to sign up (even though you feel “pushy”)? Send it.
Because the business owners making money? The ones who are thriving, booking clients, and hitting their goals?
They’re not more talented than you.
They don’t have some magical secret.
They just kept going.
Find one thing that makes you uncomfortable—and do it anyway.
Because the only way to become the person who has what you want… is to start acting like that person now.
And trust me—your future self? The one with the thriving business, the dream clients, and the confidence you crave?
They are SO glad you didn’t quit.
You got this.
